Mozambique

Hello all,

My last days in Kwana... where? were actually not too bad, hanging out with a game park tour guide who was looking after the place as a favour. Then I took the backbacker bus for the one and only time through to Swaziland - it was simpler that way. Swaziland is laid back compared to SA, pretty enough with friendly people but nothing special. Ending up staying 4 days as I met a couple of guys who were heading to Mozamibique - even got a free lift!

Also there was an event at "House on Fire". This is one of the best venues in the world - up there in my top 3. The guy who owns it is very creative and the whole place is a mass of sculptures and paintings inspired by trips to india and around africa. In the middle of the dancefloor they have a bonfire. The night started off with open-mike and various africans read out some cool poems they'd written. The band was an ecletic jazz, rap, soul mix - difficult to dance too but fit in well with the atmosphere. Earlier on that day we watched England beat Oz at rugby and Argentina at football, so we were already on a high!!

Mozambique is very laid back. Currently I'm in Tofo, been here for about a week doing some diving, snorkelling with 10m whalesharks : ) and lazing on the beach. Have been hanging out with a group of people, most of whom left today. Am thinking about staying around in Tofo for a while.

Hope you are all well and happy,
Love
kx
