Plans

Hello all,

"Hello travelling my old friend, I've come to speak with you again.."

Nothing like planning a trip to make you feel better! It had always perplexed although not acutally bothered me how I was going to leave Africa by both routes that I desired. One was to go up through Egypt and middle-east, back through Italy and the other was to cross over to NE Africa and go up through Morrocco and Spain. Well, all things happen for the best. Ha ha.

It's 10 years since we all graduated from uni and there's a bit of a reunion on in June which I have decided to go to. I'd delayed my leaving of Zanzibar until the end of April for a couple of reasons. One, I'm always one of the first to leave so thought I'd see what it would be like to be one of the last.

Two, there is a trip planned to Pemba, an island just north of here where the diving is supposed to be good. I'd wanted to go and if it all comes together, it should be a blast. Talking of going with Jerry (deep sea fisherman), Bruce (local doctor) on Jerry's boat, do some diving, stay with some people Bru knows on Pemba and then make our way back. Swimming probably! The two Irish girls are coming too. Crossed fingers it actually happens!!

After that it'll only be a week or so until I fly to Mombassa. Spend a few weeks in Kenya and then return to UK end May. After the reunion weekend, think I'll fly to Spain, do the Road to Santiago pilgrimage, visit a friend in Barcelona, travel down through Spain, across into Morrocco, check out the desert, check out all the Star Wars film locations in Tunisia and then head over to Eqypt to dive there. Ok, as with all my plans they could so easily change, but it sounds quite good to me : ) It's been a while since I've really travelled so am looking forward to it.

Apart from that not much happening, just the usual. Oh, except Man Utd winning 7 - 1 to Roma! Fantastic. Come on the Trebble!!

So anyone who is in England around end May, start June, will hope to see you then!

Lots love
Kx
