Zanzibar Living

I've been in Zanzibar for nearly a month now and on the whole it's been pretty cool. There's quite a small,close-knit group of long-termers who hang around the guesthouse or at the one bar on the beach which basically doubles as our living room. Perfectly placed to watch the sunset although it's been quite cloudy the last couple of weeks. I've been accepted here much faster than I was in Tofo.

Diving wise i had close encounters with 5 dolphins which was pretty excellant. It seems that I've seen more in a couple of months than some people have seen here in years so I've been very lucky! Even now I'm still finding some obscure creatures that I've never seen before but the diving is already starting to bore me - I knew this already.

As in Tofo, nothing much happens. Diving, hanging out with friends, the occasional birthday, swimming, sun-bathing, work. I was right to come and will stay until the 24th Feb (I had to buy a ticket to Mombassa, Kenya otherwise they wouldn't let me fly out of SA) and maybe will come back till April, but maybe not - depends on how much work there is and how happy I am.

I can't belive in a couple of days it will be Christmas, it doesn't feel like Christmas at all. A group of us are all getting together to eat and drink a lot. We are having a whole pig which is going to be cooked in the ground and everyone has to wear a funny hat - I have absolutely no idea what my hat is going to be! On that note I shall wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Peace and love to all
